Prestigious Sunshine Beach mansion heads to auction for first time in 36 years

Is this Australia’s best beachfront property?

A RARE prestigious beachfront offering in Sunshine Beach on the Sunshine Coast that it has the potential to break Queensland residential selling record has come on the market for the first time in thirty-six years.

The home located at 33 Ross Crescent is situated on a substantial 3520sq m private estate and is one of the most secluded in the suburb.

Featuring five large bedrooms, four bathrooms, an architect-designed walk-in wet-edge pool, and renowned architect Geoffrey Pie‘s vision make this home a timeless masterpiece.

Principal Tom Offermann of Tom Offerman Real Estate, Noosa Heads, said the current owners have enjoyed their over three-decade tenure at the property.

“The owners have decided it’s a natural time to move on.

“They’ve been there for 36 years and have enjoyed raising their family there, and they’re excited to pass the baton on for someone to appreciate the home as much as they have.

“It won’t be an easy day for them when they leave, having closer to an acre of privacy on such a beautiful beachfront.

“33 Ross Crescent is one of my absolute favourites because of it’s immense size, a wide frontage which is four times the normal, and such privacy that few people even know that it exists.

“The new owners will likely be someone from Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne making a sea change.

“It could be someone that owns a prior property in Noosa or the waterways that want a more prominent space around them.

“Australia is a very wealthy country, and there is a lot of people you never know could afford this property.”

Mr Offermann said the prestige market is still solid on the Sunshine Coast.

Twist in ‘remarkable’ Brisbane property market as sales drop

“We broke a new record price for Noosaville only last month, but we’re keeping the price under wraps for now until it settles”, he said.

“The main issue is a lack of good properties to sell.

“The total number of sales is down 30% this year due to the lack of available properties.

“This property might set a new record, but the owners have very sensible expectations coming into the auction.”

The current selling record for Sunshine Beach is for 17 Webb Rd, Sunshine Beach on 2015sq m and sold for $34m in 2021.

33 Ross Crescent, Sunshine Beach heads to auction on Saturday August 5 at 1pm.
