THE Brisbane-based winners of this prize home planned to use the sprawling Tallebudgera Valley property as a weekender but less than six months on, they are ready to give up their high end Gold Coast Hinterland home.
The property, at 50-56 Gibsonville St, will go to auction next month through Talei Kelly and David Manby of LJ Hooker Property Hub.
“They won it in December and at the time is was valued at over $6.2 million with all the inclusions and furnishings,” Ms Kelly said.
“The winners are from Brisbane and they’ve got a business and family there and they thought they would keep it as a weekender but it’s not working out.”
The property is known as Belle Vue and includes a five-bedroom Queenslander-style house, pool and studio.
Records reveal Yourtown paid $3.76 million for the house in November 2021 before enlisting award-winning interior designer Darren Palmer to renovate the property — his design complements the original character while enhancing the modern country homestead.
“It’s a grand estate on 5680 sqm of north facing land that enjoys 85m of Tallebudgera Creek frontage,” Ms Kelly said.
“It’s really stunning and has got that wow factor.
“It’s a twist on a contemporary farmhouse.”
In a nod to classic Queenslander homes, the house has wraparound decks that brings the indoors out, traditional windows and doors, an all-white exterior and picket fencing.
Standout features include custom apex ceilings, skylights, a fireplace, cinema room or teenage retreat and a poolside veranda room and outdoor kitchen for outdoor dining and recreation.
Back inside and the kitchen includes a butler’s pantry, Teppanyaki plates and double integrated fridges and freezers as well as pull out pantries and a second dishwasher.
Alongside this is the dining room that offers enough space for 10 guests and opens out to a creekside outdoor retreat and lounge area.
There is a bonus room on the upper level which includes an office and in-built cabinetry for two workstations, refrigeration and coffee station.
Back outside and there is a six-car secured barn style shed and a multipurpose shed which could be used as a gym, yoga room or art studio.
Ms Kelly said she had been overwhelmed with inquiry since the property launched on Monday.
“I’ve had a lot of interstate interest on this one,” she said.
“The great benefit of Gibsonville St is it’s a prestigious street in Tallebudgera Valley but you are still just 15 minutes to Burleigh.
“Sometimes people think acreage life is in the middle of nowhere but it’s a beautiful semirural destination.”
The property goes to auction on June 9.
According to the latest Proptrack Home Price Index, national home prices continued to stabilise in April after rising for the fourth consecutive month, rising 0.14 per cent.
The cumulative increase in 2023 is now 0.75 per cent. Strong migration, tight rental markets and limited supply are offsetting the impact of rapid interest rate rises.
