Gold Coast developer Allure Property has lodged plans for a luxury apartment tower at Burleigh Heads, with the newly-proposed project joining a wave of development in the local pipeline.
The development is proposed for an 809sq m site, located at 1 Second Avenue, and 88 The Esplanade Burleigh Heads, with 40 metres of frontage to Second Avenue and 20 metres of frontage to The Esplanade.
The proposal consists of a 17-storey apartment building, designed by DBI, and will comprise 27 apartments, with a maximum of two apartments per floor up to level 12 and five single-level 400sq m apartments that will span levels 13-to-17
A single penthouse will sit on level 17.
Allure’s directors include Gold Coast locals Aaron Peel and Todd Mould. Peel is also a director of construction company Veraniece Construction, while Mould is behind Mould Developments, a Gold Coast-based building company.
The group also has plans for a mixed-use development, located at 2182 Gold Coast Highway in Miami, with the aim to redevelop a multi-tower building with a ground floor brewery, subject to council approval.
Property records show the site was purchased for $2.7 million in 2019. The developer says the Brewery plans comprise three residential towers, 250 units and 6000sq m of retail space.
Further south, Brisbane-based Spyre Group lodged plans this month for a 12-storey Bureau Proberts-designed scheme at 144 Marine Parade in Coolangatta.
Nearby, an entity connected to Joe Adsett Architects purchased the 154-156 Marine Parade Coolangatta site, with plans for a $65 million project comprising 22 apartments over 12-levels.
