Spyre Group Director Andrew Malouf says every element of Glasshouse is an impossible feat.
Rarely does a new adjective need to be created to define a project.
But such is the calibre of what the South East Queensland developer Spyre Group is offering at their latest Burleigh Heads apartment development, Glasshouse, the term “hyper-luxe” has been coined, and the boutique project of just three apartments certainly warrants the tag line.
No developer has gone as far as producing something quite as special as Glasshouse, which when completed will no doubt be the most expensive apartment project across the whole of the Gold Coast.
The two-level penthouse, with one of the most impressive private rooftops arguably in the country, could be the first Queensland apartment ever to break through the $20 million mark.
The project, on the dress circle Goodwin Terrace in Burleigh Heads, which has been one of the most in demand apartment markets on the Gold Coast in the last 18 months, has been designed in collaboration with Bureau^proberts, whose brief from Spyre was simple yet impactful: “Create the impossible.”
“This remarkable stretch of beachfront gave us astonishing design possibilities,” Bureau^proberts Director Terry McQuillan said.
“We knew we needed an architectural response that captured and amplified the natural qualities of this extraordinary place—something that was as distinctive and rare as the site itself. And we’ve done that. We’ve brought something stridently new to Burleigh Heads.”
Spyre Group Director Andrew Malouf says every element of Glasshouse is an impossible feat.
“As a development firm committed to continued excellence and evolution, Glasshouse Burleigh presented Spyre Group with the opportunity to leave a permanent mark on not only the street Scape of Goodwin Terrace, but to forever change boutique property development in the South East,” Malouf said.
“For Spyre Group, Glasshouse is the culmination of tireless years spent dedicated to the importance of place. The position of this impossible project is intrinsic in what makes it one completely beyond compare.
“Three glass homes positioned perfectly on a land parcel that holds the most acclaimed beachfront status in Queensland.”
Glasshouse comprises three four-bedroom apartments, targeting the high-end owner-occupier or holiday maker who doesn’t want the maintenance of a grand home.
Spyre designed the apartments with that in mind, offering around 300 sqm of indoor and outdoor living space for the first and second level apartments, with the sprawling penthouse offering over 970 sqm of internal and external living area.
Each apartment has been designed to orientate the living spaces to the east, capturing the never-to-be-built-out views across the ocean. The entertaining starts from the kitchen, where there’s the most impressive island bench, crafted out of natural materials.
Every fixture and finish has been hand selected by a leading design team focussed on the delivery of the art piece that is Glasshouse. Leading partners such as Gessi Tapware, Porcelanosa tiles, Wolf Appliances, and custom handblown lights by SOKTAS culminate to deliver the residences.
