The Surf Parade tower on 1813 sqm will have 170 two, three, and four-bedroom apartments, as well as two huge five-bedroom penthouses.
The growing Broadbeach apartment development market is set for another high-rise tower.
A private Brisbane-based developer has lodged plans for a 39-level tower at 143 Surf Parade, a three-site amalgamation put together and then sold by GV Property Group last year.
It was the second site the same developer bought through GV’s Antonio Mercuri and Luke Reaby last year. They also snapped up 16 Queensland Avenue for $22.5 million from prolific developer Louis Zenonos.
The Surf Parade tower on 1813 sqm will have 170 two, three, and four-bedroom apartments, as well as two huge five-bedroom penthouses.
The two-bedders start from 93 sqm of internal space, 111 sqm including balconies.
There are two levels of amenity, the outdoor leisure facilities on level four including a swimming pool, play pool, spa, gym, gym studio, yoga lawn, sauna, and outdoor barbecue with dining spaces.
The Club Floor is located on level 26 and features a resident lounge, reading room, sky lounge, resident club, co-working space, media lounge and games lounge.
In their design statement submitted to the Gold Coast City Council, BDA said the design proposal focuses on the layering of the façade, materials and textures to create a natural and timeless feel.
“A palette of neutral colours and tones shall create a coastal living experience,” BDA noted.
“The podium will focus on defining the entrance, creating a clear and legible sense of entry.
“Indoor and outdoor living spaces will be interconnected and orientated to capture local breezes, natural daylight and views to the beach and hinterland.
“A new sculptural built form will become a welcome addition to this northern Broadbeach precinct.
“A timeless curved architectural vernacular with draping coastal planting that respects the Gold Coast architecture.”
GV Property Group managed to secure apartments for the developer in the neighbouring blocks to both the east and the north, which ensures that the tower’s future northern views of the park, and easterly views of the beach, are protected in to the future.
Surf Parade has been a sought-after area for developers in recent years.
Raptis recently completed the sold-out Gallery Residences down the road, while Bassar Construction Group just sold out their Infinity project. Gallery Group is currently marketing their high-end project, Chalk, at 203 Surf Parade.
There’s set to be further development in Broadbeach, with GV Property Group listing another Broadbeach site at 4-6 Rosewood Avenue, just off Surf Parade.
Expected to suit a high-rise development, the 1,422 sqm site, with no height limits, is located a stone’s throw from Broadbeach Park and a few hundred metres to the beach.
