Waterfront Estate on Australia’s Gold Coast Returns to the Market After Changing Hands for A$10.5 Million Last Year

A waterfront estate in Gold Coast, Australia, has come back to the market after changing hands for A$10.5 million (US$6.98 million) less than a year ago.

Located in Paradise Waters, about five miles from the Queensland city’s downtown, the house has five bedrooms, four bathrooms and a ground floor guest suite, according to last week’s listing with Robbie Graham of Ray White Prestige Properties.

The auction is scheduled for May 4. The state of Queensland prohibits agents from giving price guidance for auction properties.

Designed by renowned architect Jared Poole, the home inspired by New York’s tony Hamptons beach homes features a classic white exterior with a Spanish slate roof, rows of oversized windows, high coffered ceilings, timber oak floors and custom cornicing and smart-home technology throughout, according to the listing.

The contemporary layout offers multiple formal and informal reception areas both indoors and out. Additional amenities include a gym, a wine cellar, a six-car garage, a heated salt-water pool and a firepit with a seating area, the listing said.

“One of the advantages of this home is that it is absolutely ready to move into straight away,” Mr. Graham said.

The home has more than 77 feet of water frontage, and is close to private schools, high-end shopping and dining, he added.
