A narrow block of land in Queensland with a footpath down the centre has been sold after a price discount.
The 4.6 metre-wide plot in a near-full housing estate on the Sunshine Coast was for sale last year with hopes of $400,000-plus, but was amended to a price guide north of $250,000, aimed at entry-level buyers.
Listed by James Henley of Richardson & Wrench in Coolum, the property at 27 Leslie Crescent in Caloundra West sold on March 20 for an undisclosed price.
The price change slots the block well below the median house price for the suburb, which is $762,500.

“With minimal land left in this stunning new estate, here’s your chance to secure a vacant parcel and design a home just the way you like it,” the listing says.
The buyer can build on a footprint of 129 square metres, which would suit a terrace or townhouse, typical of inner-city suburbs.
Properties beside the empty block on Leslie Crescent are also slender, demonstrating the design that could be achieved.
Domain’s Pricefinder records reveal the plot is in the name of Stockland Development Pty Limited.
The property’s size quirk is thanks to its positioning – a 100-metre walk to the recently completed shopping precinct with cafes, a tavern and the new Baringa State School, which was opened in 2021 in a partnership between Stockland and the state government.
Being so close to the shopping village, the footpath was laid on the block, according to reports last year.
“First home buyers and savvy investors will see the value in an entry level priced land within a very fast growing area,” the listing says.
“Secure this land and plan for the future before Sunshine Coast prices get even further out of reach.”
