The Block’s 2015 fan favourites Jess and Ayden achieve a sweet deal for their Queenslander build

Jess and Ayden of The Block are flexing their muscles in the property world, achieving above price expectation with their latest sale.

The couple have sold their four-bedroom, three-bathroom Queenslander home in Maudsland on the Gold Coast, a build that was completed three years ago and made possible with their $665,000 winnings from the 2015 season.

Sales agent Nathan Simon of All Properties Group tells Nine the property at 9 Gene Kelly Court sold for $1.9 million, after listing with a price guide of $1.6 million and above.

There was plenty of interest in the home with 28 offers received in just four days, and 100 people through the first open-house inspection.

Jess and Ayden sold their apartment on The Block Triple Threat season in Melbourne’s South Yarra, in 2015, for $2 million, resulting in a profit of $665,000.

The Maudsland agents describe the property on the listing as a “marvel of design, craftsmanship and heart”. Jess and Ayden enlisted the help of architect Jayson Pate and DGH Builders.

Situated on an elevated parcel of land behind a tree-lined driveway, the buyer will be greeted by a Queenslander-style home with a sleek white exterior.

Interiors are luxurious with soaring ceilings, hardwood floors, marble benchtops, custom cabinetry, pendant lights and sheer white drapes.

The couple have also gone above and beyond with their attention to detail, sourcing vintage door handles from the US.

A standout design element is the “kids’ retreat” that’s separated from the main living areas, and leads to three of the bedrooms, the main bathroom and study. The grand master suite is located towards the front of the home.

There’s also space to entertain with a spacious deck, concrete pool and spa, and manicured gardens.

Maudsland is a rural-residential locale in the north of the Gold Coast. It’s about a 40-minute drive to Brisbane and a 30-minute drive to Coolangatta Airport.

Domain’s latest data reveals the median price for a four-bedroom home in Maudsland is $885,000.

Jess and Ayden’s Queenslander build is on the books of Chris Gilmour, Nathan Simon and Kerry Peters of All Properties Group.
