AFL player Ben King has just spent a cool $3.875million on a five-bedroom mansion in Burleigh Heads, on the Gold Coast.
The Gold Coast Suns forward, 22, recruited Married At First Sight star-turned-buyers’ agent Jake Edwards to help find the property and seal the deal.
The three-bathroom, two-storey home last changed hands in 2021 for $2.886million, reports the Gold Coast Bulletin.
Edwards, who started his real estate business Edwards & Mills last year, said King’s busy playing schedule meant he had trouble finding a home on his own.
‘He reached out to me and he was pretty clear on what he wanted in regards to style,’ said Edwards, a former footy player himself.
‘Being a boy from Melbourne, he liked that modern contemporary Melbourne look but also that coastal boho vibe, which is what is reflected in the property.’
Built in 2018 on a 775-square-metre block, the architecturally designed home has an ultra-chic style and holiday atmosphere.
Featuring huge windows and gigantic ceilings, the layout is defined by a spacious and versatile open plan.
The kitchen boasts a butler’s pantry, leathered quartzite stone benchtops, a Pitt System gas cooktop, Neff conventional and steam ovens, and warming drawers.
Meanwhile, each of the three bedrooms has a walk-in wardrobe, while the master bedroom includes an ensuite with free-standing bath.
There is also a swimming pool, guest bedroom and media room.
Essentials include ducted air conditioning, a sophisticated CCTV security system, and fully automated watering system for the lawn and garden.
King has had an impressive AFL career since his debut in 2019, but a serious injury has meant the promising star has had to miss the 2022 season.
