This mansion, located in the affluent suburb of Ascot, went under the hammer this weekend and brought in a whopping $6.9 million.
The selling price was $1.3 million over reserve, and was the highest recorded sale of the weekend, according to Domain.
The median property price for the area is around $2 million, making this sale one of the most expensive homes in the area. Last week another five bedroom home in Ascot sold for $3.3 million.
Sitting over 1,453sqm the home boasts five bedrooms, five bathrooms and two car spots.
The auction attracted 13 registered bidders who battled it out for the sprawling estate.
Damon Warat from Ray White Ascot described the property as a showcase of expansive interiors and designer finishes.
“The floor plan is complemented by stunning timber floors, Tuscan accents, classic French doors, sash windows, plantation shutters and a stainless steel lift,” Warat said in the listing.
“Hosting a wealth of room to live and entertain, the entryway flows into the formal lounge and dining room adorned with a warming fireplace and French doors leading out to the beautiful gardens and water feature.”
The property also comes equipped with a chef’s kitchen, family area, games room and wet bar and lounge.
The property was last on the market in 2013 and sold for $4.05 million.
